Detroit police seek man wanted for attempted abduction of teen girl

DETROIT – Police are working to identify and find a man wanted in connection to an attempted kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl at Chicago and Linwood in Detroit.

At about 3:20 p.m. Nov. 7, the girl was walking to a store when the man, who was driving a black SUV, pulled up and told her to get inside his vehicle. The girl continued walking.

Suddenly she heard a car door open, looked back and saw the man running in her direction. She started to run away. After a brief foot chase the man returned to his vehicle and fled westbound on Chicago from Linwood.

Police have released the attached sketch of the man along with this description:

Black man in his 20s or 30s standing 6 feet with a medium build (stocky), light complexion, dark brown eyes, dark lips and mustache. He was wearing a black du-rag, a black hoodie and gray jogging pants. He was driving a black SUV.
