Detroit police seek missing 6-year-old boy

Malek Nelthrope last seen Friday afternoon after being released from school

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for the public's help in finding a 6-year-old boy who went missing Friday.

Malek Nelthrope was last seen when he was released from his school in the 8100 block of Curtis Street at 3:40 p.m. Friday.

Police said Malek's guardian was waiting outside for him when he was released but she never saw him come out.

Malek was described by Detroit police as 3 feet tall, weighing 75 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and medium-dark complexion.

Detroit police said Malek was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts and a sweatshirt with a hood. The sweatshirt is said to have a picture of the Incredible Hulk on it.

Malek has a good mental and physical condition, according to Detroit police.
