Detroit police: Woman wanted for 2 robberies

Police say woman stole cash from CVS, Family Dollar stores

DETROIT – Detroit police have released the picture of a woman they said robbed two stores last week.

On Aug. 11, the woman went into the Family Dollar store in the 13100 block of West McNichols Avenue and handed the cashier a threatening note, police said.

The cashier opened the drawer and gave the woman cash.

On Aug. 13, the woman robbed a CVS store in the 18500 block of Dale Street in the same way, giving the cashier a note that demanded cash or she would shoot, police said.

The woman is described by police as in her 40s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 130 pounds with a small build. She wore dark clothing and carried a black purse.
