A Detroit transit officer was involved in a deadly shooting Wednesday night near 8 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue on the city's east side.
The officer shot and killed a man after an altercation at the intersection. The officer is expected to be OK.
It's not clear if the man was armed or what may have spurred the altercation.
Detroit police were at the scene investigating. The transit officer was taken into police custody. Police say he stayed at the scene and told police what happened.
Police are questioning him.
