Detroit water shutoffs suspended due to computer problems

Computer problem caused suspension

DETROIT – The Detroit water shutoffs have been suspended due to a problem with the computer system.

Representatives say that a technical problem caused the system to be down Thursday. Anyone that went to the center to make payments was noted so that their water wasn't shut off while they were trying to make payments. Those customers were given a card that will prevent them from being shut off and they will have 10-15 days to come back to make payments.
