There is a new way to add some pop to the dinner table -- Red Pop that is.
Detroit's own Faygo held a contest and released a cookbook with the 100 best recipes from customers using the soft drink.
Chef Andre Namanis, executive chef at the Woodward Restaurant downtown, was at the Local 4 studios cooking up two entrees anyone can make at home. Namanis prepared black bean stuffed peppers and Faygo-tastic ribs with a glaze where the key ingredient is Faygo cola.
Faygo is a Detroit institution, and the facility on Gratiot Avenue in Detroit has churned out thousands of bottles of Red Pop, Rock & Rye, and an assortment of other soft drink delicacies.
