BUFFALO, N.Y. - A dozen therapy dogs gave students at the University at Buffalo reason to "paws" from their exam preps.

The university says it's brought the dogs into libraries as a way to relieve stress for students cramming for finals.

The western New York school is following the lead of other institutions, including Emory University and Kent State.

Research shows that interaction with pets decreases stress.
