DPD searches for boy last seen with noncustodial mother

Mother has an active warrant

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for an 11-year-old Detroit boy who hasn't been seen since Aug. 7.

Officials said James Frierson was last seen with his mother, Jheri Frierson, who is a noncustodial parent. She has not complied with court orders, and there is an active warrant on her in this matter, police said.

James is not believed to be in any danger.
