Carjackers killed passenger at Coney Island on Seven Mile Road

DETROIT – Detroit police are looking for two men behind at least three carjackings, one of which was deadly.

Surveillance video from a gas station on West McNichols Road shows the first carjacking, which happened Sept. 6 around 5:30 p.m.

Two men run up to a man pumping gas and hold him at gunpoint, firing shots a few feet away from the vehicle. The men rob the woman in the passenger seat and take off in the white Ford Flex. No one was injured in the incident.

The next day, the carjackers struck again, this time at Seven Mile Road and Wyoming Avenue.

In full view of customers and cameras, the men carjacked a blue Saturn Aura.

About an hour after that carjacking, the men pulled up to Robert's Coney Island on East Seven Mile Road in the Ford Flex they took the day before.

While trying to steal another car at Robert's Coney Island, the men shot and killed the passenger of the car.

Detroit police are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the carjackers. There is an $8,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of these criminals.
