DETROIT -

The cancer doctor being held in jail on a $9 million bond is making a new plea to get out.

Dr. Farid Fata is accused of defrauding Medicare for millions of dollars by giving chemotherapy to patients who allegedly did not need it.

On Tuesday, Fata's attorney filed a motion laying out new conditions he hopes will secure the doctor's release. The conditions include promising not to touch the millions of dollars Fata has in multiple bank accounts and agreeing to return to court for all hearings.

It's not clear when or if a judge will consider his request.
