A driver was rescued early Tuesday morning as her Jeep sank into a retention pond off I-94 in Roseville.
Michigan State Police said the 40-year-old driver from Detroit told them she was rear-ended by a semi-truck around 4:30 a.m. while in the westbound lanes of I-94 near Little Mack Avenue. The driver lost control of her Jeep, crashed through a fence and landed in the pond, police said.
The driver was able to climb onto the roof of the Jeep and was rescued by firefighters. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out for a possible head injury.
The Jeep was also pulled from the water.
Police said there is damage to the Jeep’s rear bumper, but no description of the semi-truck has been given.
