LAPEER COUNTY, Mich. - Dryden Community Schools, located in Lapeer County, cancelled classes Monday to allow students and facility to mourn the death of a well-liked principal.
Dryden High School principal Richard Duffy died Wednesday after complications from diabetes.
After-school activities and all sports games are also cancelled Monday, with the exception of the School Board Meeting.
Visitation and funeral services are Monday at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene in Otisville.
The week before his death, the principal attended the school's homecoming game and dance.
Duffy was 41-years-old at the time of his death.
