Eastbound I-94 reopens at Moross after fatal crash

DETROIT - Eastbound Interstate 94 has reopened at Moross after a fatal crash Thursday morning involving a car and a garbage truck.

Sources told Local 4 a driver was in a stalled car in the center lane just south of Vernier when it was rear-ended by the truck. Michigan State Police are investigating.

The car's 31-year-old driver was taken to St. John Hospital, but died.

The eastbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for hours after the crash.
