Elderly woman gets lost driving on golf course

Video captures drive at Emerald Hills C.C.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Most golfers want to hit a long drive on the course, but one South Florida woman actually wanted to go on a long drive on the course.

Last Thursday, golfers playing in a U.S. Open qualifier at The Club at Emerald Hills in Hollywood were startled to see a vehicle driving on the cart path on the 11th hole.

Unfortunately, it was not a golf cart... it was a full-sized sedan driven by an unidentified elderly woman.

One of the participants, John Powers, was able to record the afternoon drive, capturing the entire bizarre scene on video.

The woman drove all the way up the path until she decided to turn around in the middle of a giant bunker on the hole.

Powers and his playing partners were able to continue their round once the woman had motored off the course.
