Election held for Detroit Federation of Teachers president

Incumbent Keith Johnson re-elected

DETROIT – The votes are in and counted!

Incumbent Keith Johnson was re-elected as the Detroit Federation of Teachers president Saturday, his third two-year term.

Johnson beat out long-time teacher Steve Conn and a third challenger, Victor Gibson.

He received 55% of the vote with 670 votes. Conn received 457 votes or 37% of the vote. Gibson received 95 votes, 7% of the total.
