PONTIAC, Mich. – An employee at a Tim Hortons in Pontiac hid in an office during an early morning break-in Thursday until deputies arrested the suspect, authorities said.
According to a statement from the Oakland County Sheriff's office, the female employee hid and watched the break-in unfold just before 4 a.m. on a video monitoring system.

When deputies responded, the suspect tried to run away but was arrested.
He had a "large quantity of small bills" on him, the office said.
The suspect, a 19-year-old Pontiac man, is charged with breaking and entering for the incident at Tim Hortons -- but Auburn Hills police said he matches the description of a burglar who targeted two businesses in their area. They're working to determine if he is responsible for those, too.
