DETROIT – A driver was injured in a crash on a Detroit interstate Saturday morning.
Michigan State Police say the driver stopped in the eastbound express lanes of I-96 near Davison Avenue. He was driving a Dodge Stratus.

A semi-truck was unable to stop in time and struck the Stratus, which became stuck underneath the semi, trapping the man inside.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. All eastbound lanes were closed until 5:45 a.m. Local lanes reopened around 5:45 a.m. and express lanes were closed for several more hours.
The driver was cut from his vehicle and taken to the hospital.
The semi driver was not injured.
State police said that alcohol or narcotics may have been a factor.
The driver had outstanding warrants and a suspended license.
Michigan State Police are investigating.
