Family of murder victim Chelsea Small fights to keep case from going cold

Three years after the murder, Chelsea's killer has not been identified

It has been over three years since Chelsea Small, a hard-working mother of two, was murdered while working at a cash advance store in Taylor.

Chelsea’s family hasn’t forgotten the crime, although the tips have run cold.

"My anger is beginning to rise a little bit,” said Leslie Cousino, Chelsea’s sister.

Security footage taken from the cash advance store where Chelsea was working on Nov. 12 2013, shows a man walk into the store shoot Chelsea twice and leave with less than $250 cash.

Chelsea’s father has never spoken publicly about his daughter's murder, but he says he can’t believe how much time has gone by without a lead.

“Unbelievable is right. Let's catch him. Let's get rid of him," her father, Norman Small said.

Chelsea’s family visits her grave often to give her updates on her two children. They also promise her that her killer will be caught.

"What I've watched her children suffer and go through and you continue to go on and live and love and continue to do whatever you do every day," Said Chelsea's mother, Debi Kamin.  "It isn't fair."

There is a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of Chelsea’s killer.

Taylor police said they have no new leads, but remain hopeful that someone may come forward with information.
