FBI offers $25,000 reward for federal Judge Terrance Berg's attackers

DETROIT – The FBI announced Friday afternoon that it is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the shooting of U.S. District Judge Terrence Berg.

Two men, described as black males approximately 18-25-years-old, approached Berg outside his Detroit home Thursday night and one of them shot Berg in the leg. The assailants reportedly fled in a dark sedan, possibly a Dodge Charger.

Berg is being treated at a local hospital but authorities will not release details of his condition, citing family requests.

The FBI Violent Crime Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Detroit Police Department are conducting a joint investigation.
