FBI: Tips helped capture Angelo 'Two Head' Allen after carjacking in Detroit

Carjacking happened May 16 on Goulburn Avenue in Detroit

DETROIT – The FBI said tips from the public helped Detroit police capture Angelo Allen, who was wanted in connection with a carjacking and shooting that happened May 16 on Goulburn Avenue in Detroit.

Allen was taken into custody late Tuesday afternoon, the FBI said.

(Detroit police) were led to Allen by a tip from a concerned citizen, who responded to media coverage of the FBI’s request for the public’s assistance. Allen was taken into custody, without incident, less than 24 hours after the FBI’s request went out. The FBI would like to thank Detroit Police Department and the public for their assistance," the FBI said in a statement released Wednesday. 

Angelo Allen was considered armed and dangerous. His brother, Carlos Allen, was arrested in Columbus, Ohio Thursday in connection with the same incident.
