Ferndale police seek suspects in gas station clerk attack

FERNDALE, Mich. – A gas station clerk was injured after two armed men stormed the store he was working in and beat him in the head, according to Ferndale police.

Police said two masked men entered the Citgo gas station on 8 Mile Road at approximately 3:50 a.m. and attacked the 24-year-old clerk, who was working alone.

The clerk lost consciousness during the attack, and awoke to find that the suspects had fled with a large safe and the hard drive from the security recording device.

The clerk managed to call for help. He was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries.
