FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a 75-year-old woman has died in an apartment fire in Frenchtown Township.

Bea Hankey died when a fire broke out in her home at the Frenchtown Place apartments on North Macomb Street.

Other residents were evacuated and no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.
