Your Donation Can Help Process Rape Kits

In 2009, 11,341 rape kits sat untested and uninvestigated in an evidence room in Detroit.

Seven years later, the vast majority of those kits have been tested because women were unrelenting. From Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy to singer Erykah Badu, women have been spreading the word and raising the money to win justice for survivors of sexual assault.

But beyond the testing, there is much more to do to make sure rapists are off the streets. Kimberly Gill has the story of how everyday people took on an enormous task and are getting it done.
