Flight attendants union seeks recall of new uniforms due to itching, fever, rashes, hives

1,600 American Airlines flight attendants report problems from new uniforms

DETROIT – A union representing American Airlines flight attendants is asking for a recall of new uniforms that were given to workers in September.

Since the new uniforms were released, about 1,600 flight attendants have reported itching, rashes, fever, hives and more problems from wearing the uniforms.

Early testing found it was a wool allergy, but the flight attendants union is asking for a recall while more testing is done.
