DEARBORN, Mich. – An employee at a Ford dealership in Dearborn who died Tuesday after being involved in an accident on the lot has been identified.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office said Jeffery Wallace, 52, died from blunt force injuries and mechanical asphyxia.
Police said the Lincoln Park man was in the process of moving vehicles as part of his daily duties when he became pinned between a pickup truck he was driving and another one that was parked.
Police said it wasn't immediately known if Wallace suffered a medical emergency.
“He worked here for more than 20 years and everyone here will miss him dearly,” Fairlane Ford President Julie Walker said. “He was our detail manager. He made sure all of the cars were spotless when they were delivered to our clients.”
