Forecast: Showers expected Good Friday in metro Detroit

Easter Sunday forecast is trending better!

DETROIT – We will have increasing clouds overnight, with a possible shower, late.

Lows will be in the mid 40s with a southwest wind at 5 to 10 mph.

Rain showers are likely on Good Friday morning, with just scattered showers possible in the afternoon...and I think we'll be mostly dry by dinnertime. Highs in the mid 50s, with a northwest wind at 5 to 10 mph. Gradual clearing Friday night, with lows in the mid 30s.

Mostly sunny on Saturday, with highs in the low 50s. Mostly clear Saturday night, with lows near 40.

Easter Sunday looks terrific, with mostly sunny skies becoming partly cloudy by late afternoon. Most of my computer models hold off any showers until Sunday night, but one model does try to bring in a shower around dinnertime (and the best chance for that north of I-69).

I'll update you on Twitter this weekend if there are any changes -- you can follow me at @PaulGrossLocal4. Highs in the mid (possibly upper!) 60s. Showers likely Sunday night, with lows in the mid 40s.

Expect a period of showers on Monday, although I don't believe it'll rain all day long. Highs in the low 60s. Partly cloudy Monday night, with lows in the low 40s.

Partly cloudy on Tuesday, with highs near 60. Becoming clear Tuesday night, with lows near 40.

Mostly sunny on Wednesday, with highs near 60. Mostly clear Wednesday night, with lows in the low 40s.

Partly cloudy Thursday, with a chance of showers (particularly later in the day). Highs in the low 60s.
