Macomb County residents age 60 and older can drop off four 2-by-1-foot boxes of paper to be shredded Thursday, Oct. 24, at Freedom Hill Park in Sterling Heights.

Seniors also can dispose of unwanted or expired prescriptions medicines. The medicine must be removed from bottles and placed in a clear plastic bag.

The shredding and medication disposal will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Freedom Hill County Park located at 14900 Metro Parkway in Sterling Heights.
