Gas prices jump back above $2 a gallon

DETROIT – The number 1 before the decimal point couldn't last forever. If you drove by a gas station Thursday you may have noticed that in just 24 hours prices jumped more than 10 cents.

This is the first increase in over 123 days, so what gives? Can't we go on with our below $2 a gallon gas forever?

Industry experts said the death of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah prompted some uncertainties in the markets over what will happen next in the kingdom.

Right now the average price in Michigan is still hovering around $2.05.

"It's a lot better because I get to have extra bucks in my pocket and I get to spend it elsewhere," Anthony Babby said.

It's been a pleasure to fill up without the dread of paying $100 for a week's worth of gas. And while the price is still halved, it makes you wonder how long it will last.
