The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids is among the institutions in Michigan affected by the partial government shutdown.
The museum and the presidential library in Ann Arbor are part of the federal National Archives and Records Administration.
The museum in Grand Rapids is a venue for the ArtPrize competition and has 25 entries on display, including four of the Top 10. Two of the Top 10 are outside and aren't affected. Officials said Tuesday two from the lobby have been moved to a tent outdoors.
Museum officials and artists worked on the plan to make all entries available for public view despite the government shutdown. All ArtPrize education programming scheduled at the Ford Museum has been moved to the Grand Rapids Public Library.
