Grosse Pointe Farms – As the school year comes to an end, it may be safe to say that a summer prank may have some residents in the Grosse Pointe area looking for their missing lawn statues.
Several garden statues were found on the property of Grosse Pointe South High School Saturday morning. Police say eleven statues were placed neatly underneath the front columns of the high school.

Grosse Pointe Farms police believe the statues were taken from various residences throughout the Grosse Pointe area. Police say their concern is that many of these statues may have sentimental value. They would like to return the property to the rightful owners.
If the statues look familiar, please contact the Grosse Pointe Farms public safety department at 313-885-2100.
South High School will be contacted after the holiday weekend so that any video surveillance evidence can be collected by police.
