To say the Macomb County Habitat for Humanity is having a bad week would be an understatement.

In a 72-hour period this week, all of their vehicles broke down.

"We're having a rough week," Helen Hicks, president and CEO said. "We think tax day was the beginning of it."

On Monday, their oldest vehicle broke down.

Tuesday, a van they use to transport water to work sites said bye-bye.

That same day, a box truck they use for donations went kaput.

Finally, on Wednesday, their last truck stalled and eventually died.

"I don't know if it's bad karma, we're really fortunate here at Habitat for Humanity," Hicks said. "This is just a challenge. Maybe the community will help us out."

Hicks said they hope to repair four of the five vehicles, so they can get back up and running to continue helping the hundreds of families they do in the area.
