A woman stands accused of stealing jewelry from two dementia patients who were being cared for at a Canton assisted living facility.

Police said Westland resident Gail Lynn Good, 45, allegedly took necklaces from two women while she worked as a health care employee at the Crystal Creek facility.

She is charged with two counts of larceny, which are each punishable by up to four years in prison.

Police said the patients' families noticed the jewelry missing in September an earlier this month and reported the thefts.

One of the necklaces was recovered at a jewelry shop, but, police said, another had already been melted down.

Police are still looking for a diamond that was in one of the necklaces.
