Hearing for 12-year-old would-be bank robber Thursday

Boy pleads guilty to breaking and entering, destruction of property

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The 12-year-old boy who is believed responsible for breaking into a Southfield bank on July 12 is expected to be back in court Thursday for pretrial hearing.

The hearing was postponed in July so his mom could be given more time to hire an attorney.

In August the boy pled guilty to charges of breaking and entering and malicious destruction of a building.

Police said the boy had coin rolls and a small amount of cash from the bank.
