DETROIT – Help break the Guinness world record for the largest gathering of ugly Christmas sweaters Saturday at Detroit's Beacon Park.
The current record to break is 3,473 ugly sweaters.
If you need an ugly sweater, uglychristmassweater.com will be selling sweaters at the event., which begins at 6 p.m. The person will the ugliest sweater will win $1,000.

The event is prepared for the cold, snowy weather with fire pits and hot drinks. Plus, the first 1,000 people to check in will be assigned a zone inside a heated winter lodge tent.
A silent disco will be held after the world record attempt.
