We've received more than 143 suggestions on the best places to catch Pokemon in the region. Use the map above to hone in on information, or the list below for tips on where to go: 

Wahby Park, St Clair Shores:  Hundreds of people walking around Blossom Heath Park. At least six Pokestops, all constantly lured, and a large off-street parking lots. There are even ice cream trucks. Pokemon spotted: Electabuzz, Staryu, Magikarp, Geodude, Psyduck, Krabby, Goldeen, Oddish Warning: Police are giving out tickets for playing in the park after sunset.

Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, Grosse Pointe Shores: Lots of exotic Pokemon on the historic grounds along Lake St. Clair. You have to pay to walk the grounds, but there are pokestops and gyms. Watch for free days -- they had one a few weeks ago. Pokemon spotted: Graveler, Pikachu, Meowths, Omanyte.

Downtown Mount Clemens: There's at least 20 pokestops within 3-4 blocks. Plus, the people are friendly and the businesses (most) love it too! You can get discounts at certain shops if you show them your pokedex. Everything from drowzee to geodude to jynx. I've heard players catch gyrados and blastoise by the gazebo (near the police station)

Downtown New Baltimore: Many Pokestops up and down Washington and the occasional rare Pokemon. You can place a lure at a restaurant while you eat outdoors. You can also hang out at the park all day, which is also a gym. Pokemon spotted: Onix, Jynx, Tauros, Drowzee, Hypno, Nidoran, tons of Eevees, Paras, Zubat, Pidgey, Rattata, Raticate, Venonat, Oddish, Bellsprout, Staryu, Magikarp, Goldeen, Psyduck, Exeggute, Spearow, Horsea.

Partridge Creek Mall, 17420 Hall Road, Clinton Township: Lots of stops with lures, gyms and players. All in a safe, well-lit area. They do kick you out at 10 p.m. Reader writes: "Lots of pidgeons, the rat one, and weedles, but also caught a dritini there. I think thats the name, it's sort of like a cute sea serpent thing. I don't know, but people were excited."

Dodge Park, Sterling Heights: Lots of people playing in the park. Pokemon spotted: Ponyta, seen Bulbasuor, Tentacual, etc.

Rochester Hills Public Library: Library staff are constantly setting off lures on the 5 surrounding Pokestops, plus it's right by the river trail so lots of unique Pokemon to catch! Pokemon spotted: Several Pikachu have been sighted!

Downtown Ferndale: Constant lures, Pokéstops and occasionally Snorlax and Pikachu in the surrounding neighborhood. Other Pokemon spotted: Seel, Fearow, Snorlax, Blastoise, Charmander, Pikachu, Jynx, Hypno, Seaking, Geodude, Ponyta

Detroit Zoo: Spotted Pokemon: Huge variety, including large numbers of Pikachu. Lots of people makes for a fun atmosphere.

Downtown Royal Oak: Lots of people, stops and Pokemon. Huge variety including Squirtle, Bulbusoar, Onix, Seaking, Nidorino and Ran, Vulpix, Jigglypuff, Meoth

Jewish Community Center, West Bloomfield: Multiple pokestops within walking distance of a children's playground as well as more pokestops and a gym on campus. Pokemon spotted: Drowzy, Ghastlee, Paras, Primeape

Wixom Library Fountains: Multiple Pokestops and a gym, plus lots of people playing. Pokemon spotted: Eevee, Magikarp, Drowzee, Gastly. Missed a Wartortle but others got him. People use lures at multiple stops so it is great with frequent Pokemon appearing.

Brighton: There's a lot of places to shop and eat. Some evenings, there is live music and entertainment. Pokemon spotted: Eevee, Goldeen, Magikarp, Slowpoke, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Dratini, Meowth, Staryu, Drowzee, Zubat, Weedle, Caterpie, Rattata, Tentacool

Plymouth, Kellogg Park: There are several pokestops around the park and in Downtown Plymouth. There is a gym at the fountain and at least three more within a 10 minute walk around Downtown, You can even stop for lunch or dinner at several of the pokestops. Pokemon spotted: Venomoth and several others that are common but higher level. Servers were down last Wednesday so we didn't catch much.

Wayne, Goudy Park: Lots of lured pokestops, a couple gyms, great company, lots of Pokemon to catch. Pokemon spotted: Snorlax, Vaporeon, Blastoise, Lapras, Dratini, Magicarp, Goldeen, Zubat, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Wartortle, Caterpie, Weedle, Drowzee, Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Rattata, Nidoran, Clefairy, Vulpix, Golbat, Oddish, Paras, Venonat, Psyduck, Growlithe, Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Machamp, Bellsprout, Tentacool, Geodude, Slowpoke, Seel, Muk, Shellder, Gastly, Haunter, Onix, Hypno, Kingler, Voltorb, Exeggcute, Cubone, Koffing, Rhyhorn, Horsea, Staryu, Starmie, Jynx, Tauros, and Kabuto.

Belleville: Tons of Pokémon find their way near the lake! Usually there will be tons to catch, especially at night! You will find tons of people by the lake during night hours waiting for spectacular Pokémon, but beware, some nights their might not be very many! Pokemon spotted: Rattata, bellsprout, pidgey, eevee, venonat

Huroc Park, Flat Rock: Many Pokéstops and it is on the Huron River. Pokemon spotted: Squirtle

Detroit Riverfront: The atmosphere is amazing and there are countless pokestops, most of them lured. Pokemon spotted: Tons of Voltorb and Magnemite

Campus Martius, Downtown Detroit: Drowzees,Tauros, Nidoran, Seels, Krabbys, Gastlys, many others

Great Lakes Crossing: Outlet shopping mall in Auburn Hills
