DETROIT – Wreckers on Wednesday tore through the vacant Detroit house where the body of 21-year-old Matthew Landry was found.
It took a bulldozer about 10 minutes to flatten 14711 Maddelein Street. Its demolition was slated for April but was delayed for the investigation into Landry's death.

Landry was last seen on the morning of Aug. 9, 2009, when he left his girlfriend's Roseville house, said his mother, Doreen Landry. The 21-year-old musician had plans to attend a barbecue at his parents Chesterfield Township home later evening, but never showed up.
His body was found in the burned-out house four days later.
Ihab Maslamani was found guilty Friday of 18 charges, including the first-degree murder of Landry.
Prosecutors said 18-year-old Maslamani and Robert Taylor, 17, randomly carjacked Landry at the Quiznos restaurant on Gratiot Avenue near 10 Mile Road, drove him to the empty house, used his bank cards to withdraw money at a gas station and then executed him.
Maslamani was caught three days after Landry's disappearance during a botched carjacking at Walmart, police said.
He was identified through surveillance video at the bank robbery and the gas station.
