DETROIT – Michigan State Police had the ramp from westbound I-96 to Joy road closed for an accident investigation.
The accident, involving a van and a tow truck, happened Thursday morning at approximately 2:40 a.m.

A trooper on the scene tells Local 4, one person was killed. Police have not released any information about the deceased individual.
Police cleared the accident and reopened the ramp shortly before 5 a.m.
