Indiana rallies to beat Temple with 3 point jumper, saves day with seconds remaining

Hooisers move on to Sweet 16

DETROIT – The Indiana Hoosiers were nearly the victims of another NCAA Tournament upset as the Temple Owls took them down to the wire in the third round of the tournament.

The Hoosiers pulled out the narrow victory 58-52.

The 9th seeded Owls led for most of the game losing their lead with just over a minute to play.

The top-seeded Hoosiers reach The Sweet 16, moving on to face Syracuse on Friday.

Temple's Khalif Wyatt led all scorers with 31 points on the day but Hoosiers' experienced proved to be too much for the Owls.

The Michigan Wolverines can find themselves in a Big Ten matchup with the Hoosiers in The Final Four, if both teams win their next two games.

Michigan plays the winner of tonight's Kansas/North Carolina game on Friday in The Sweet 16.

It is Michigan's first Sweet 16 appearance since 1994.
