Injured snowmobiler rescued from remote area in Ontario

ONTARIO – The Coast Guard Traverse City, Michigan, rescued a man who was snowmobiling in a remote area near Chapleau, Ontario, Canada, when he was injured on Saturday.

Officials said other snowmobilers found the man on the trail. Some of them traveled several miles to phone for emergency assistance while others built a fire to keep the injured man warm until help arrived.

The injured man was hoisted from their location. His condition is unknown.
