MILFORD, Mich. – A group from Henry Ford Community College spent the day going on a hayride at Camp Dearborn in Milford. Shortly into that ride, something went horribly wrong when the trailer carrying the riders tipped over, throwing people to the ground.
Ambulances were called to the scene after the 18 riders were thrown off the ride.
While most injuries were treated on site, at least 3 people were rushed to nearby hospitals, including Providence Park Hospital. None of those injuries were reported to be life threatening.
This camp, known for its fall hayrides, typically brings out big crowds. Within the last few years, changes were made to make sure those onboard were safe.
It's unclear if the driver or those onboard may have done something to cause the accident.
