INKSTER, Mich. – Inkster police are searching for a gunman who killed a 21-year-old woman Sunday night.
Police Chief Hilton Napoleon said the victim and her boyfriend were in a car outside a home on Parkwood Street when someone walked up and opened fire into the car.
Family members have identified the victim as Jenna Guarascio.
Napoleon said the 21-year-old was killed, but she may not have been the target of the attack.
"We don't know if the boyfriend was the object of the attack, but it appeared to be because most of the shots were fired in the area that he was sitting," he said.
A description of the gunman hasn't been released by police.
Michigan State Police say anyone with helpful information on this murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP. Callers can remain anonymous.
