Court ordered to look at Kwame Kilpatrick book dispute

Ex-Detroit mayor objects to creation of escrow account to hold book sales money

DETROIT – The Michigan Supreme Court is ordering a lower court to take another look at a dispute over the sales of a book written by former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Kilpatrick objects to the creation of an escrow account to hold money from book sales. He owes Detroit more than $800,000 from a criminal case that forced him out of office in 2008.
