Steven Gentz says he spent the last two weeks with Joe and was the last person to speak with him before he was jailed on charges of murdering Grosse Pointe Park mother, wife and marketing executive, Jane Bashara.

"I want him to know I love him. I love you Joe, regardless," Steven Gentz said.

Steven Gentz says Joe Gentz was nervous in the days leading up to this arrest and that he expressed concerns that he was going to be "the only person going down for this."

Police sources say Joe Gentz has said Jane's husband, Bob, hired him to kill her.

Payment was thousands of dollars in cash a used Cadillac.

Jane Bashara was found strangled in the back of her Mercedes SUV on Jan. 25 in Detroit.

Joe Gentz was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to murder on Monday.

"He's not the only one involved in this." Steven Gentz said.
