The Local 4 Defenders have learned that charges are expected to be announced Wednesday against Bob Bashara in connection with his wife's 2012 death.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. Watch it live on ClickOnDetroit.com.
Sources say Bashara could face between four and five counts -- ranging from first-degree murder to felony murder, conspiracy to commit murder or solicitation to commit murder.
About the case:
Handyman Joseph Gentz is serving a 17-year sentence after admitting he strangled Jane Bashara at her Grosse Pointe Park home. He says he acted on the orders of her husband.
Bob Bashara lawyer Mark Kriger says he hasn't been contacted about additional charges.
Bashara is serving a minimum sentence of 6½ years in prison for trying to have Gentz killed in jail.
