Sources say investigators looking at John Wayne Gacy for link to Oakland County Child Killer case

Is a well-known serial killer linked to the Oakland County Child Killer Case?

The Local 4 Defenders have learned that investigators are taking samples from John Wayne Gacy to eliminate his involvement with two of the four murders that happened in the 19070s.

Gacy raped and murdered at least 33 young men in the Chicago area during the same time.

He’s since been executed.

But sources said he traveled through Michigan during the time of the Oakland County killings and investigators want to rule him out. 

Children kidnapped, killed

The so-called Oakland County Child Killer has eluded an identity since four children -- Mark Stebbins, 12, Jill Robinson, 12, Kristine Mihelich, 10, and Timothy King,11 - were kidnapped and found dead between 1976 and 1977
