Former Detroit mayor sentenced to 28 years in prison

DETROIT – Kwame Kilpatrick's attorney has filed an official notice that he will appeal his conviction for racketeering and bribery.

The former Detroit mayor was sentenced earlier this month to 28 years in prison.

The notice was filed Wednesday night.
