Lincoln Park mom warning about 'Knockout Game'

LINCOLN PARK, Mich. – A Lincoln Park mother is warning others in the neighborhood about the "Knockout Game" which injured her son.

The object of the game is to walk up to a stranger and try to knock them out in one sucker punch, and then walk away.

The sucker-punch attacks began surfacing on Youtube a few years ago and it looks like it may be resurfacing in Lincoln Park.

Lincoln Park police said that the woman's son was punched Sunday around 8 p.m.

The boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk when two passing teens made room for him and threw a punch. They hopped in a white Ford F150 waiting with two other teens in it.

The boy is OK, but this mother says lots of younger people walk to school in the neighborhood and she wants kids and parents to watch out.

"I want people to know," the mom said. "This could be somebody else's child, this could be somebody's mother."

There may have been a second incident that happened in Lincoln Park where four guys fitting the description punched a man in a similar way.
