PUTNAM, Mich. – The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver in a hit-and-run crash early Thursday morning that left a 36-year-old man seriously hurt.
The office said Jeffery Eugene Coffelt was hit at about 1 a.m. as he walked home on Patterson Lake Road near Cedar Lake Road.

The driver that hit him left him lying in an eastbound lane. He was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital, where he is in serious condition.
The Sheriff's Office said investigators are looking for a yellow Ford F-150 truck with a "honeycomb" grille. The truck would have damage to its front.
