Livonia man shot while taking a walk, police say

Police: 4 people in car approach man in early morning shooting

LIVONIA, Mich. – Police are investigating after a 29-year-old Livonia man was approached by four people in a car and shot while taking a walk.

The shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. Saturday in the 15000 block of Foch Street.

Officers at the scene learned the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

The man told police a sedan with four black men inside approached him. One of them got out of the vehicle and began shooting, police said.

Detectives are actively pursuing all leads. Police said the shooting remains under investigation.
