However, King now faces legal trouble for allegedly trying to run down a man attempting to repossess his 2004 Volkswagen Touareg for nonpayment.

Jack Ostoin, who owns J and D Auto Recovery in Livonia, said King tried to run him down when he showed up with his wrecker.

"He flew up to my truck and he stopped and he was like this far from my truck. My leg was outside the truck," Ostoin said.

Ostoin has been in the repossession business for 40 years but said this incident had him fearing for his life.

"It scared me so bad I looked him straight in the eyes in his car and that's it," Ostoin said.

King turned himself in to police and has pleaded not guilty to assault charges. He was bound over for trial. His next court appearance will be in mid-October.

Police tell Local 4 there were no other witnesses to the incident but they intend to use damage to the wrecker as evidence in the case.
